Ensures the correctingredients are delivered to the work area. May be required to obtain thecorrect ingredients for mixing and weigh out the ingredients to meet the recipespecifications. Sets up and starts any weigh-up or packaging machinery,checking all controls for adherence to operating/safety procedures. Notifies appropriate personnel of any issues, problems orconcerns in a timely manner. Safely and neatly processes, batch off, screen, cut up,package and/or skid material to correct size/container according to customerspecifications. Accurately supplies/supports Production Operators withappropriate materials/functions to efficiently keep all equipment operational. Performs all required machine cleaning. Completes and maintains required paperwork and/ordocuments. Follows and complies with all safety and work rules andregulations. Maintains departmental housekeeping standards. Occasionally required to sit. The employee mustfrequently lift and/or move up to 55 pounds and occasionally handle up to 250pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distancevision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability toadjust focus. Requires the use of safety equipment as dictated by the work areasuch as safety glasses and shoes, dust mask, hard hat, respirator, face shield,hearing protection, chemical suit, gloves, aprons, etc. The noise level in thework environment is usually moderate with the exception of high noise areas.Proper personal safety equipment needs to be used while performing this job andthat equipment is dictated by the plant safety guidelines. While performing theduties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humidconditions, dust, fumes, airborne particles, chemical dust, and risk ofelectric shock, vibration, non-hazardous chemical agents and outside weatherconditions. Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborneparticles. The employee is frequently exposed to vibration.
