- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Experience
- Minimum of six months to one year in a manufacturing environment.
Specific Skills/Abilities
- Read and follow prints.
- Perform setups and operations without supervision.
- Meet quality standards for parts with little to no rejections.
- Read routings and use measuring tools (e.g., gauges, calipers, and micrometers).
Systems (hardware, software, computer, etc.)
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should be able to use and understand internal software.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Physical Activities include: climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing for significant periods, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, picking or pinching, grasping, perceiving attributes of objects, conveying with other workers, hearing and repetitive motions.
- Physical Requirements exerts up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Duties are occasionally performed under dust, dirt, heat, cold, and fumes. Tasks are frequently performed under noisy conditions. There is occasional exposure to cuts and abrasions. Observation Acuity standard is the minimum for machine operators, where the job inspection is at or within arm's reach.
