The Production Control Specialist will coordinate the production planning, scheduling, shipping and raw materials daily requirements functions at the Thorndale facility. The role will be focused on critical production areas including but not limited to FPC and MPC processing. The position will support shipments to and from 3PL warehouses and customers. The Production Control Specialist is an essential position to enable and assist in customer satisfaction through on-time delivery while driving safety, productivity, and quality improvements within the Production Control Department.Essential Functions:
- Provides relevant and updated customer and item shipment date information to business stakeholders in an adequate manner using the ERP system and internal tools
- Coordinates all shipments the plant to customers and third-party warehouses, ensuring efficiency, and minimizing costs for customer deliveries and warehouse transfers
- Works with the 3PL personnel and warehouse portals to coordinate shipments to and from the manufacturing plant.
- Continually evaluates production control systems and processes for opportunities and develops improvement plans
- Works closely with the Master Planner on upcoming demand needs, scheduling strategy and logistics coordination.
- Ensures efficient manufacturing by maximizing campaign sizes and minimizing product changes by working with the engineering and production department personnel.
- Works directly with production and technical leadership to schedule product and process trial work
- Schedules all three product lines through the ERP system, creates appropriate paperwork (travelers') for the production department in a proactive and adequate manner.
- Coordinates and ensures raw materials are readily available for upcoming processing across all product lines, working closely with procurement.
- Leads raw materials cycle counting initiatives to help ensure raw material accuracy. Reports and updates discrepancies in finance and local management.
- Ensures all pertinent information relative to inventory and costing for finished goods and raw materials are entered correctly into the ERP system from the shop floor
- Supports ensuring accurate accounting of materials and times for all manufacturing and trial work in the company ERP system
- Evaluates future demand for product type, raw materials needs and schedules machinery accordingly
- Participates in the semi-monthly S&OP meetings to review near-term demand and daily production meetings
- Creates scrap tickets for off quality, slow moving or returned material. Coordinates with production floor personnel to ensure material is disposed physically. Updates ERP system appropriately.

Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree preferred, or high school diploma with 2-5 years' experience
- Minimum 2-5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment with experience using an automated planning/scheduling function
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and ERP systems is required
- Demonstrated skills in organizing and controlling multiple work initiatives are required
- Sound decision-making skills
