Today SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible, with the ultimate goal of enabling human life on Mars.PRODUCTION COORDINATORThis role is responsible for serving as a liaison between all ancillary input and output organizations to ensure that components and assemblies flow smoothly through the production areas to meet stringent deadlines and quality standards.RESPONSIBILITIES:Create inventory requests based on production work orders and replacement partsMaintain production schedules through the coordination of planning and shortage management in the production buildEnsure parts are handled and protected properly and within SpaceX specificationsInterface with engineers and technicians on the release of work orders for buildReconciliation of work order bill of material quantitiesMaintain a high integrity in regards to company computer systems per procedures. Assist with resolution of incorrect system data which is driving inappropriate demand, schedules, or could result in general failureVerify all material received for conformity with accompanying paperwork, checking for damage, correct part numbers, quantity and revisions prior to release of work orders to productionWork with production customers for priority and schedule requirementsAssist materials management leadership and project teams with action item updates as requiredCommunicate part status and estimated completion dates to leadership upon requestAssist production teams in corrective actionsSupport logistics process through innovative staging of workflowPerform de-kitting operations and own the return to stock processSupport productivity improvementBASIC QUALIFICATIONS:High school diploma or equivalency certificate1+ years of supply chain or manufacturing experiencePREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:Strong computer skills, fluent with the suite of Microsoft office productsBachelor's degreeOrganizational skillsProficiency with MRP/ERP systemsExperience in aerospace or electronic manufacturing environmentsAPICS certificationADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:Ability to pass Air Force background check for Vandenberg Space Force BaseAbility to work one of the following shifts:Weekday 1st Shift: Monday - Friday from 6:00am - 4:30pmAvailable for overtime as the schedule varies depending on site operational needs; flexibility requiredValid driver's licenseThe ability to lift heavy objects is required in this position (up to 50 lbs. unassisted)Able to work at elevated heightsAble to work in extreme outdoor environments – heat, cold, rain, etc.Able to work in an environment requiring exposure to fumes, odors, and noiseAble to and available for travel (up to 20% of time), including military and government installations.COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:Pay range:Production Coordinator/Level 1: $22.00 - $25.25/hourProduction Coordinator/Level 2: $24.75 - $29.75/hourProduction Coordinator/Level 3: $27.50 - $33.00/hourYour actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX.
