Production Engineer IIThe Dahill Group is pleased to be assisting our client, a well-established Texas-based E&P company in search of an outstanding Production Engineer II. This position is responsible for production engineering and oversight on company operated wells in an environmentally responsible and safe manner. Currently the company operates 287 wells in Haynesville both vertical and horizontal. This role will also be responsible for evaluating producing wells for production enhancement opportunities and designing recompletions/workovers to accomplish same. The role will also take the take the lead in evaluating Operating Expenses with the goal of minimizing costs and maximizing production. The position will be required to sit in and work from our client's corporate office in Longview Texas with travel to the field throughout their Haynesville play.Duties and Responsibilities:•Responsible for all production engineering on our client's operated properties. •Monitors LOE to identify areas of potential cost savings and improve efficiency. •Develops AFE's and manages work and procedures for all cased-hole workovers, recompletions, and P&A's. •Performs daily production surveillance to identify underperforming wells and recommend solutions, ie., workovers, artificial lift installation or recompletion. •Ensures production data quality is upheld, accurate allocations compared to well test data and compliance with regulatory reporting requirements •Reviews and maintains well specific data, reports, diagrams, general info, etc. •Works directly with pumpers and field superintendent to optimize artificial lift in the field. •Follows industry trends on production and AL for new methods that would apply to operated wells. •Collaborates with Field personnel to identify and address problems with wells, gathering system, etc., and to manage maintenance schedules - including well testing. •Works jointly with Geology to identify recompletion candidates once existing zones are deemed uneconomic. •Assists other departments by providing production information when needed. •Monitor, evaluate and create schedule for corrosion and/or chemical treatments on producing wells •Develops and/or utilizes analytical tools to assist in monitoring production, LOE and other key parameters related to production. •Works with technical team on a variety of projects as needed, including acquisitions, divestitures, and other investment opportunities.Qualifications:•BS Engineering or higher •Must have hands on experience in field production operations., as well as workover and on-site operations. •Skilled in artificial lift analysis and fluid flow in piping, critical velocity/nodal analysis •Experience with general measurement principles and production accounting methods •Basic open hole log interpretation to identify potentially viable up hole zones •Understands general accounting principles when reviewing LOE statements •Must be proficient with all software required to evaluate and analyze information specific to their production engineering duties and responsibilities. •Proven drive for continuous improvement and operational efficiency •Familiar with data management, structure and connection methods •Must be an effective communicator, both written and orally. The ability to speak effectively in front of groups and make presentations to superiors and peers is required. •A minimum of 3 years of experience is preferred. Special demands: This job requires a commitment to work evenings and weekends, when necessary, due to the 24-hour nature of completion and production operations. This person is essentially on-call 24 hours/day. This job also requires time on site during critical operations, as well as occasional travel out of town.Salary and Benefits:Annual Salary: $130,000 - $135,000 per yearAnnual CIP Bonus: 20%Benefits include:100% Employer paid Health insurance for employee, spouse and children.401K employer matches the first 1% at 100% and the next 6% at 50%.Pension eligibility after completion of 1st year of employment
