Job Overview:This position is responsible for repair and preventative maintenance of all equipment in the facility. Responsibilities and Duties Required
- Ensure that all scheduled inspections and repairs are completed correctly, effectively and completed in a timely manner.
- Perform oil and coolant changes on production equipment.
- Diagnose and repair bearings, ball screws and servo motors.
- Ensure scheduled preventative maintenance activities are being performed and documented per schedule.
- Install and relocate equipment as needed throughout the workshop.
- Work with equipment manufactures to troubleshoot and resolve equipment problems.
- Effectively document the work performed to maintain accurate work history and troubleshooting notes.
- Responsible for changing out air conditioning filters, light fixtures and switches, etc.
- Responsible for maintaining outside sprinkler systems and outside lighting.
- Be accountable for working safely by following all safety rules and safe work practices.
- Coordinate and support with the Facilities Supervisor to resolve equipment problems and scheduled maintenance activities.
- Ensure 6s is maintained in the assigned work areas.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications and Skills Required
- 5+ years production equipment troubleshooting and repair experience required.
- Must be able to read machine prints and determine which items are needed to complete any repairs.
- Must be able to read and understand electrical schematics.
- Must have knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to replace electronic components.
- Must be able to work independently at a fast pace, follow directions and make decisions.
- Ability to do general facilities repairs to include lighting repair and maintenance.
- Must be able to operate a forklift.
- Ability to maintain machine coolant at proper concentrations.
- Ability to do drywall repairs and painting.
- Must be able to communicate and read English proficiently.
Job, Working Conditions and Physical RequirementsPhysical Demands:
- Must be able to lift, move, transport and load items across the building up to 50 pounds at times.
- May be required to work on slippery and uneven surfaces.
- May be exposed to physical hazards from moving equipment, heavy equipment, and machine parts.
- Specific coordination is necessary to operate computers and various pieces of equipment.
- Must be able to work off ladders, sky lifts and various heights.
Visual Acuity:
- Visual acuity of 20/20 or corrected.
- Close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Ability to read computer screen and documents.
Hearing Ability:
- Normal hearing or corrected to normal.
- Ability to monitor machine sounds to identify and diagnose changes to take appropriate action.
Working Conditions:
- Factory environment.
- Occasional work outside normal business hours.
- High noise levels from operating machines.
- Physical hazards from moving equipment and machine parts.
- Breathing fumes, dust, and mist.
- Skin exposure to chemicals associated with manufacturing.
