Our Electronics Production Laborer at SunCoast Communications is responsible for the decommissioning, teardown, sorting, and consolidation of used telecommunication electronics for recycling and resale purposes. We are looking for someone with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to travel in the domestic US to decommission telecommunications equipment for up to one or two weeks per month, possibly more. We pay weekly and have a great benefit package. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Decommissioning of telecommunications equipment
  • Physical tear down of electronic systems utilizing various tools and methods
  • Physical sorting of components into segregated categories
  • OTHER DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Ability to adapt to different work environments at client sites and follow detailed instructions from the Project Manager.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work environment
  • Collaborating on continuous improvement projects related to operational efficiency, safety, and management systems
  • REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES
    • Some understanding of telecommunication electronic components and peripheral hardware helpful.
    • Willingness to work hard and stay motivated.
    • Excellent attendance record.
    • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and time management skills
    • Proven experience in electronics disassembly, sorting, or recycling processes, preferably with telecommunications electronics.
    • Familiarity with relevant tools and equipment used in electronics disassembly and sorting.
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to work meticulously to ensure accurate sorting and recording of components.
    • Ability to lift and move heavy objects safely and work in physically demanding conditions.
    • Good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
    • Ability to work well within a team environment.
    • Commitment to workplace safety and environmental sustainability.
    • Good verbal and written communication skills to understand instructions, applicable safety regulations, and to maintain records.
    • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

    • QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE/TRAINING
    • Must pass a background check based on R2 standards for handling sensitive data.
    • Satisfactorily pass forklift driving training program or demonstrate safe handling of forklift in an on-site test.
    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
    • Must be able to regularly lift, carry and move up to 50 pounds at a time.
    • Able to complete physically demanding work.
    • Good hand-eye-foot coordination and sense of balance.
    • Must be able to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving the entire body. This will include climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, carrying, and stooping.
    • Must be able to traverse facilities and machinery by climbing, balancing, lifting, walking, stooping, and carrying materials.
    • Prolonged periods standing or walking.
    • Ability to perform repetitive movements over long periods of time.
    • Must be able to work on components that are vertical, flat, or overhead.
    • Must be able to visually inspect equipment.
    • Excellent depth perception and reaction time.
    • Must be able to see details at close range.
    • Must be able to wear protective equipment for eyes/ears/feet.
    • Ability to maintain single-task focus and situational awareness.
    • Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and tolerate exposure to typical noises and smells associated with the plant.
    • On occasion, may work in a variety of weather including extreme heat and cold.
