Since 1954, Woodgrain is proud to be family owned and operated.The Production Support position adds value by leading their team to achieve quantity and quality production goals. The expectation is to take ownership of the designated work center.Currently, working hours are (4) 10 hour days Monday thru Thursday and occasional Friday's.Essential Duties, Responsibilities, Expectations and Performance Measures :* Safety (strictly enforced). Follows all safety rules, proper ergonomics and safety programs. Always wears the proper PPE, clothing and footwear. Adheres at all times to the Entanglement policy. Owns daily cleanliness of work area. Maintains area orderly, clean and free from hazards.* Mandatory attendance of all assigned safety training and adherence to all safety policies and practices.* Ability to pay close attention to detail.* Learn quality aspect of product in order to reduce waste.* Ability to work in a teamwork setting* Quality before quantity. Demonstrates a commitment to quality in all products, processes and services. Seeks to improve. High quality at all times and does not pass on poor quality for quantity.Knowledge/Skills/Education and Continuous Training:Must be 18 years or older* High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred* Manufacturing experience a plus* Mechanical ability a plusPhysical Demands and Work Environment:The physical demands and work environment are representative of a typical sawmill/wood environment. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level is moderate to high depending on the area of the mill. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is often required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk and hear. Requires close vision, distance vision, and depth perception. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds and is regularly exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and extreme hot and cold temperatures.Compensation is commensurate with experience ($15.00 to $18.00 per hour).
