In this role, you will work as a team to safely produce a large number of quality laminated units to meet our daily, weekly, and monthly production goals.Summary/ObjectivesThe Production Lead is an entry-level leadership role. The Production Lead is a natural people leader, responsible for engaging team members and improving operational efficiency. This person effectively interacts with other team members to ensure they have the tools/resources needed to complete scheduled work safely and within quality standards.Essential Functions Statement(s)Assist and guide team members within departments in giving positive recognition or corrective action when neededManage departmental performance measures, including visual controls, and provide regular progress reports to leadershipProvide guidance for day-to-day operations to team members as well as specific assignmentsMaintain a safe and clean work environment by training and educating personnel on the use of equipment and resources, maintaining compliance with established safety policies and proceduresManage workflow within the department to ensure complete, on-time delivery of quality product to both internal and external customersConduct pre-shift meetings to reinforce safety, quality, and production metricsMaintain a professional appearance and conduct, exhibiting a respectful and courteous demeanor at all times.Train team members in primary tasks then cross-train to develop a flexible and agile teamAdditional ResponsibilitiesAssist in other areas as neededMaintain a clean, organized work environmentAccept more challenging assignments as experience and knowledge allowTrain others to help them gain knowledge in your strength areas as neededAn ideal candidate should possess:One or more qualifications below is preferred:3 years of leadership experienceMilitary experience with honorable dischargeOSHA 10 CertificationLEAN Certification or other types of production system training (Six Sigma, JIT, ISO)Knowledge of LG processes and production workflowAssociates degree in Business, Engineering, or equivalent experienceMinimum of one year leadership experienceStrong communication and public speakingKnowledge of production tools and equipmentProficient in Microsoft Office programsRequires regular, in-person attendance at the facilityMust be able to handle sensitive related and proprietary information in a confidential mannerAbility to exercise good judgment in decision making, ideas, and all aspects relating to the SBLG team, Cardinal Glass Industries, and other company relationships.Ability to establish credibility and be decisive, but still able to recognize and support the organization's missionAbility to work as part of a team including but not limited to members of management, employees throughout Cardinal, and vendor partnerships.Cardinal Glass Industries is an Equal Opportunity Employer#J-18808-Ljbffr
