Maintain and operate machinery. You'll ensure the interminable and efficient running of production.A great machine operator is reliable and able to work with attention to detail and safety standards. On-the-job training is a good way to discover how to do the job better, so you should have willingness to learn and improve. Being a team player is essential since all tasks will require close collaboration with co-workers. The goal will be to ensure that production procedures will be carried on smoothly to maximize efficiency and profits.Brief Summary of Primary Duties:Machine set up (calibration, cleaning etc.) to start a production cycleControl and adjust machine settings (i.e., speed)Feed material or product to semi-automated machinesPerform quality checks with precision by using measuring devicesTest operation of machines periodicallyReact to issues that might occur during the shiftCheck output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flawsKeep records of approved and defective units or final productsMaintain activity logsRegular and predictable attendance throughout the shift is an essential function of this positionAbility to utilize SOP's, CDA's and TI's as resource documentationAbility to change machine over from one product to another effectively and efficientlyAbility to string machine all the way up and select correct diesProduce quality product with zero to minimal scrapMaintain high efficiency on machine and keep machine uptime and speed to standard levelsAbide by all rules and proceduresMaintain clean work areaMake safety first priorityReport all safety incidents or issues immediatelyAny/All assigned tasks by supervisorSustain a shop floor environment with operators helping each otherSpecific Skills/Training RequiredBasic Math skillsIn-house forklift trainingOn shop floor basic computer training-including but not limited to SAP and MDCOn shop floor reading measurement equipment-including but not limited to OD tape, calibers, micrometers, scales, and electronic measuring equipmentEducation:High School/GED Diploma - requiredExperience:Previous manufacturing experience preferred but not requiredSafety Requirements/Physical Requirements:Safety shoes, safety glasses, and hearing protection required when working in the production areasAbility to stand 8-12 hoursAbility to bend/stoop to floor level 30-60 times in 8-hour shiftAbility to push/pull/roll weight 115-1000 lbsAbility to lift 50 lbs.#J-18808-Ljbffr
