Job Description :

The Production Line Worker effectively performs bench, conveyor or assembly and packaging line tasks to meet

safety, quality and quantity standards. The Line Worker assists with job safety, job training and development of

employees with disabilities through leading by example and exhibiting excellent work habits.

Duties:

* Effectively and efficiently perform a variety of commonly performed tasks in a contract packaging operation, including but not limited to:

+ assembly tasks with or without common hand tools and assembly equipment

+ packaging tasks with our without packaging and filling equipment.

+ assorted tasks such as: sorting, weighing, collating, inspecting, cleaning, labeling, gluing etc.

* Assist supervisors in training, coaching, encouraging and motivating employees and workers to efficiently perform their assigned tasks.

* Assist supervisors in meeting quality standards, production quotas and deadlines

* Provide protective oversight of employees and report any employee behaviors, incidents and/or accidents to supervisor.

* Maintain his/her work area in a safe and organized manner

* To comply with all SQF procedures and policies, and is responsible to report food safety.problems

* Follow all policies and procedures established by the Corporation

* Perform other related duties as directed by the Production Lead

Qualifications:

High School diploma or GED required. Must be able to follow and retain directions. Good

communication skills required. Attentiveness to detail required.

Experience:

No previous assembly or packaging experience required.

The employee regularly is required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms and use hands to finger, handle, or

feel. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee is frequently required to stoop

or kneel. The employee is occasionally required to sit to perform the duties of the job. Specific vision abilities

required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and

ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
