Production Machine Operator

A Production Machine Operator is needed to maintain and operate various machines and equipment, including hand tools, to carry out routine tasks. This position is responsible for installation, visual inspection, and set up of machines and equipment within expected quality and safety guidelines. The machines and equipment may be manual or computerized.

This position is available for 2nd shift with work hours from 3:15 pm to 11:45 pm, and also for 3rd shift with hours from 11:30 pm to 7:30 am, depending on candidate's preference or availability. The location is Bridgeville, PA.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain machines and equipment
• Use hand tools
• Move materials and parts to and from work areas via power lift trucks and forklifts
• Ensure a smooth flow of production
• Solve production and technological problems
• Ability to follow complex verbal and written instructions
• Comply with established guidelines and procedures
• Adhere to all safety procedures and policies
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• HS Diploma / GED and / or 0-2 years relevant experience
• Ability to read and follow route sheets/blueprints
• Self-motivated
• Works well in a team environment
• Able to stand for long periods, repetitive arm motions, frequent lifting with ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Basic computer skills

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Experience working in an industrial, manufacturing, construction, or related environment
• Experience in machining or similar field
• Experience using and interpreting precision measuring instruments
• High level of organization skills
• Forklift certification
