Production Machine Operator - Lundberg Family Farms : Job Details

DescriptionLundberg Family Farms is currently in need of four (4) Technical Machine Operators for our mini rice cake production department in Oroville.Must be able to work Grave Shift (10pm - 6:30am), with the flexibility to train on other shifts.As a Machine Operator I in our Minis department you will be trained to operate the production equipment as well as perform functions of Line Work/Packer. In addition You will act as an assistant and/or back-up to the line/area Machine Operator II. Responsibilities Include:

• Participate in & direct day to day operation of the production line including startups, changeovers, cleanups, and shutdowns.
• Help monitor, control and maintain the quality of product produced, ensuring that it meets company standards.
• Identify new or reoccurring issues that occur on the line.
  • If needed, escalate to mechanic to minimize downtime.
• Perform basic weekly and monthly preventative maintenance on production equipment.
• When assigned perform timely inspections, including quality control specifications/tests and adjust processes based upon data collected.

Requirements

• 1 year manufacturing experience.
  • Prior experience in food production strongly preferred.
• Experience relating to basic maintenance and operating food manufacturing equipment.
• Fully competent in basic reading, writing and math.
• Good basic mechanical skills. Competent with basic hand tools.
• Aptitude to analyze, troubleshoot and problem solve.
• Must be 18yrs or older and have a High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to perform repetitive motion.
• Availability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
• Ability to work at a fast pace.
• Ability to work in an environment where it is necessary and required to perform different job duties throughout the day.

Work area is in an environment with varied moderate temperatures and high background noise. Position involves exposure to odors, dust, allergens, and mosquitoes.100% of the time is spent standing and/or walking around.
