For more information about United Legwear & Apparel Co., please visit: Job Summary The Production Manager at Ted Baker will oversee all production-related responsibilities, ensuring seamless execution from design to delivery. This role serves as a vital link between vendors, design, merchandising, sales, and planning teams. As a luxury lifestyle brand, Ted Baker prioritizes high standards and premium quality, making this position critical to maintaining the brand's reputation. The Production Manager ensures that all timelines are met and that goods are developed and produced according to Ted Baker's exacting standards. The role requires independent leadership while collaborating within a team environment and managing complex production needs with an understanding of supply chain dynamics, product costs, and cost-saving alternatives.Essential Functions (Including but not limited to):
  • Build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Oversee vendor communication to ensure adherence to production standards and timelines.
  • Monitor and manage production WIP (Work in Progress) reports, ensuring that all deadlines are consistently met.
  • Coordinate collection of top-of-production and marketing sample needs from sales, ensuring timely receipt and distribution.
  • Manage production chargebacks and extension requests, ensuring issues are resolved swiftly and effectively.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, following up with factories, vendors, and suppliers to ensure solutions are implemented.
  • Act as the liaison between production, sales, planning, and design to align efforts and achieve business objectives.
  • Collaborate with Factories and Ted Baker's financial departments on PI submissions and LC issues, communicating key information in a timely manner.
  • Oversee the processing of debit notes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Ensure the production team meets all project deadlines and elevate issues to the Director of Production as needed.
  • Participate in key meetings with suppliers and internal teams, contributing to production decisions.
  • Communicate any packaging or labeling concerns with the warehouse team for review and approval.
  • Maintain accurate records in the buy tracker, ensuring all data is up to date.
  • Issue Purchase Orders to factories to initiate fabric, trim buys, and confirm deliveries to support critical in-house dates.
  • Execute other duties as needed to support Ted Baker's overall production goals and operational efficiency.
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Associate's or bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience in a production role, ideally within a premium or luxury apparel brand.
  • In-depth knowledge of garment construction, fit, and finishing, ensuring adherence to Ted Baker's high-quality standards.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple vendors, including experience with international/overseas production.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel) and database management.
  • Exceptional leadership and project management skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective interaction with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to assess data, draw insightful conclusions, and make informed decisions.
  • High level of adaptability and flexibility to manage diverse tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks to ensure smooth operations.
Salary Range: $100,000 - $115,000This is an onsite position at our New York City office. *United Legwear & Apparel Company is interested in every qualified candidate who is eligible to work in the United States.
