Job Description :

We are seeking a production manager to join the team at our Indianapolis, IN facility.

This person will be part of the management team and will directly supervise the assigned team and support the daily production goals. The ideal candidate will have experience in a precast concrete production facility and be knowledgeable with concrete production and timelines. Previous experience within the precast concrete industry is required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The following are included; other duties may be assigned:

  • Review production, quality control and maintenance to determine causes of nonconformity with product specification and recommend solutions.
  • Meet with assigned team daily to discuss safety, daily goals, and required logistics to support production goals.
  • Document and conduct proper investigations on Safety and Disciplinary action.
  • Develops and administers trainings to managers, supervisors, foreman and laborers.
  • Coordinate deliveries of stock materials to support production volumes.
  • Initiates weekly safety and quality meetings.
  • Be a driver of continuous process improvement in the areas of Safety, Quality, and Efficiency.
  • Ensure that all aspects of quality are in accordance with PCI standards and the Quality Standards Manual.
  • Strive to reduce expenses and increase productivity on all production lines.
  • Work with Senior Management, Scheduling, Sales, and Project Management to ensure that project schedules are met.
  • Be a hands-on manager with daily presence in the production areas.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • B.S.E. in Industrial Engineering OR 8 years of proven leadership experience in the industry is preferred.
  • ACI Level 1, PCI Level 1 and 2 training and Certification Required. PCI Level 3 a plus.
  • Ability to coordinate and manage multiple departments of 50+ employees.
  • Ability to create and manage operational budgets.
  • Understanding of general manufacturing and engineering principles.
  • Works well with cross functional teams and have strong communication skill
