Production Manager - Spray-Tek : Job Details

Spray-Tek is an industry leader providing custom spray drying services to leading companies in the world's most quality-conscious industries. In face of new projects and acquisitions, we are searching for a Production Manager to join our team for our Beloit, WI facility.

Role: Production Manager (Full-Time), reports to the Plant Manager for assignments, direction, and assistance.

Position Summary:

The Production Manager (PM) is a member of the Site Management Team, and will oversee all daily operations of the plant from production and manufacturing to ensuring policies and procedures are followed. The Production Manager will drive continuous improvement in the areas of safety, quality, productivity and customer satisfaction. And will provides leadership to supervision and employees and ensures they have the proper tools to perform their job safely and efficiently.

Accountabilities:

• Production Oversight: Manage daily production activities to ensure products are manufactured on time, within budget, and to quality specifications.
• Working with quality to ensure full compliance with GMP, USDA, and FDA requirements within a department and ensure the department operates as per the agreed standards and protocols.
• Enforcing the agreed safety systems and procedures within a department to ensure a safe and accident-free environment.
• Managing the department to ensure delivery of the product to the agreed production schedule.
• Co-ordinating activities with maintenance, quality, and stores to ensure smooth reliable operation.
• Converting the production plan into a daily and shift plan that meets demand needs as well as optimizing the plant performance and efficiency.

Continual process improvement

• Implementing initiatives to continually improve the safety, quality, cost, and delivery performance of the plant.

Management Information Reports

• Preparing all the required departmental reports on time-related to production. Ex: Daily, Weekly, Monthly Reports, Breakdown analysis, etc.
• Putting in place measures to permanently correct any unfavorable trends in the report.

Functional Skills

• Technically competent in understanding technical problems and challenges.
• Good computer skills in Word, Excel –
• Good personal organization and planning skills
• Good communication skills (both written and verbal) and able to
• Communicate with all levels of the business.
• Ability to lead others and influence and drive change.
• High tolerance for stress and ability to demonstrate sound judgment and decision-making under pressure.

Experience/Qualifications Needed:

• At least 5 years in a Leadership role in Food Manufacturing, preferably in operations, engineering and/or process improvement
• 4-year degree preferred but not necessary
• Self-motivated, focused, creative, flexible individual with a positive approach
• Salary commensurate with qualifications/experience and accomplishments
• Candidates must live within commuting distance to Beloit, WI
