TITLE: Production ManagerTYPE: Direct HireLOCATION: Newport, SCONSITE/REMOTE/HYBRID: OnsiteSTART DATE: January 2025SHIFT: Day ShiftWe are looking for a Production Manager is responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient production of solar panels. This role involves effectively managing staff and schedules to ensure daily, monthly, and yearly production targets are met. The Production Manager will also collaborate closely with the Maintenance & Reliability and Quality teams to ensure the highest quality standards for every panel produced.MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oversee and manage all production processes and teams within Washington operations.
  • Supervise and manage all production supervisors.
  • Plan, execute, and adjust the production schedule as necessary to meet goals.
  • Set and achieve production targets and goals on a daily, monthly, and yearly basis.
  • Ensure timely completion of employee performance reviews for direct reports.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to production team members to improve their skills and overall competency.
  • Manage human and material resources effectively to meet production targets.
  • Make decisions regarding equipment use, maintenance, modifications, and procurement.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for production operations.
  • Ensure adherence to SOPs and health and safety procedures.
  • Establish and monitor product quality standards, implementing and enforcing quality control programs to meet objectives.
  • Analyze production and quality control processes to identify and resolve issues.
  • Implement continuous improvements in the production process.
  • Prepare and maintain production reports and estimate production costs.
  • Set and manage production budgets, implementing cost control and savings programs.
  • Ensure effective collaboration and coordination between departments such as quality, engineering, maintenance, procurement, logistics, warehouse, and management.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), including Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE) and labor hours per watt/panel.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 7 years of production experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
  • Knowledge of process improvement, budgeting, and production standards.Bachelor's.
  • Ability to work flexible and/or rotating shifts.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
  • Team- and customer-oriented with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to lead a team and resolve personnel issues quickly and effectively
