The production manager is responsible for providing leadership and oversight to all levels of the manufacturing operations and producing products and directing activities so that products are manufactured on schedule and within quality standards and cost objectives. Specific focus will be given to strategic planning, company-wide initiatives, goal setting and alignment through ongoing continuous improvement efforts to enhance quality, productivity, profitability, occupational health & safety, and efficiency.

Your Responsibilities Will Be:
* Ensures all products are manufactured according to specifications in the most efficient manner in compliance with all safety and quality standards.
* Establishes and administers KPIs to ensure customer and company business needs are consistently achieved and provides timely information to management team to drive effective business decisions to achieve financial objectives.
* Ensures Health and Safety standards are maintained throughout production and follows a comprehensive process for the investigation and corrective action of incidents and near misses is followed.
* Leads, manages, and holds accountable the production team for manufacturing standards, quality, and health and safety policies.
* Deploys strategic manufacturing plans and establishes procedures for maintaining high standards that includes manufacturing site capacity, technology, process capability/controls, and talent development that is aligned with operations objectives, quality objectives, product requirements, and business strategies.
* Ensures proactive engagement and representation of manufacturing during product development cycles to ensure future products meet quality, service, and cost objectives.
* Formulates and recommends manufacturing policies and programs that guide the organization in maintaining and improving its competitive position and the profitability of the operation.
* Achieves optimum employee levels with least amount of overhead and raw material costs to meet forecasted workload.
* Works in close collaboration and partnership with Finance, Quality, Sales, and Project Management departments to optimize overall operational excellence.
* Provides solutions to root cause analysis investigations identified by quality, to nonconformance's that are the direct result of manufacturing operations.
* Directs the establishment, implementation and maintenance of production standards.
* Develops direct staff performance goals and objectives aligned with organizational goals.
* Directs and coordinates various programs essential to manufacturing procedures (e.g., employee training, employee recognition, employee performance improvement, and employee safety programs).
* Initiates and coordinates major projects (e.g., plant layout changes, installation of capital equipment, major repairs, etc.).
* Leads continuous improvements.
* Other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
* Undergraduate degree in industrial, mechanical, or business administration, or a 4-year technical degree in related discipline, preferably Manufacturing / Mechanical Engineering. Or 7-10+ years of experience in manufacturing management.
* Experience with Microsoft Office applications with strong MS Excel skills.
* Track record of consistently driving improved operational performance (e.g., cost, labor productivity, customer service, quality, safety, compliance, and people management).
* Excellent interpersonal skills; Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
* Ability to communicate effectively within all levels of the organization.
* Excellent verbal and written communications skills, as well as strong organizational leadership.

Travel Requirement:
* Very little travel required. Less than 5% required.
ADA Requirements:
This job operates in a production plant. This role is subject to dust, variant temperatures, loud noises at times, and welding operations. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Positions in this function typically require typing, sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.
* Concentrated mental and/or visual attention. The work involves performing complex tasks to very close accuracy and quality specifications, or a high degree of hand and eye coordination for sustained periods.
* This role requires the ability to stand, walk, bend climb, with some work on a physical computer and/or networking systems may be required to fulfill operational requirements. Visits to our manufacturing facility and suppliers' facilities is required to monitor active projects and address design issues.
