Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and hands-on Production Manager to lead the setup and management of test lines for large-array Open Radio Units. This role focuses on partnering with Contract Manufacturers to construct, validate, and optimize production test setups while ensuring seamless integration with production processes. The successful candidate will implement production databases, monitor quality metrics (e.g., KPIs, First Pass Yield), and drive efficiency across assembly and testing processes.

Key Responsibilities

Test Line Setup & Validation:

  • Design, build, and manage test lines for large-array ORUs in collaboration with Contract Manufacturers.
  • Validate and optimize test setups for accuracy and efficiency.

Production Flow Management:

  • Oversee Work-In-Progress (WIP) and in-stock inventory to maintain smooth production flow.
  • Coordinate live product changes and ensure minimal downtime.

PCB & Assembly Testing:

  • Develop and execute testing for PCB and box build assemblies.
  • Implement test fixtures, work instructions, and troubleshooting protocols.

Contract Manufacturer Coordination:

  • Align production and testing processes with CMs to meet company standards.
  • Manage inventory and space allocation at CMs, including equipment and test fixture needs.

Data & Quality Management:

  • Develop and maintain production databases for test data and reporting.
  • Monitor and analyze quality metrics (e.g., KPIs, FPY) to drive improvements.
  • Conduct root cause analyses and implement corrective actions.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Lead initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve quality.
  • Champion Lean Manufacturing and process improvement methodologies.

Team Leadership:

  • Mentor and guide production teams, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Experience:

  • 5+ years in production management, preferably in electronics manufacturing.
  • Expertise in production quality metrics, statistical analysis, and database setup.
  • Proven experience with PCB and box build assembly processes.
  • Familiarity with CM operations, inventory, and testing coordination.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems preferred
  • Background in large-array ORUs or similar hardware systems preferred

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency with database and analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Python).
  • Knowledge of manufacturing methodologies like Lean or Six Sigma.
  • Hands-on experience with test equipment and fixture setup.
