Adecco Permanent Recruitment is on the hunt on behalf of its client in the Richmond, VA area for the role of Production Supervisor. In this role you will be a key driver in optimizing production processes, ensuring efficiency and maximizing value for our customers. You will oversee the entire manufacturing process, from raw materials to finished products, with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence.

YOU WILL:

  • Take ownership of the entire manufacturing value stream, overseeing all processes from raw material acquisition to product delivery.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize value stream efficiency, reduce lead times, and enhance overall productivity.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement within the manufacturing value stream.
  • Identify opportunities for waste reduction, process optimization, and cost savings.
  • Implement Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to achieve operational excellence.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, engineering, and supply chain, to ensure seamless coordination within the value stream.
  • Foster strong communication and collaboration to address challenges and capitalize on improvement opportunities.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for the value stream and regularly monitor and report on performance metrics.
  • Implement data-driven decision-making processes to identify areas for improvement.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team within the value stream.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and individual growth.
  • Provide coaching and support to team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.
  • Work closely with the quality assurance team to ensure that products meet or exceed established quality standards.
  • Implement and maintain quality control procedures within the value stream.
  • Contribute to the development of long-term manufacturing strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Identify opportunities for capacity expansion and improvements in manufacturing technology.

YOU HAVE

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations management, or related with 7-9 years of experience.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role within manufacturing, with a focus on value stream management.
  • Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams to achieve operational excellence.
