R10057804 Production Operator 1 (Open)Location: Shawnee, OK (UE Plant) - Filling industrialHow will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?Performs various duties in the plant to include forklift operation, material handling and sorting, inspecting and/or cylinder maintenance work.JOB DUTIES AND INFORMATIONWORK SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday 6:00 am to 2:30 pmMoves cylinders to and from designated staging area; loads and unloads cylinders on or from vehicles via forklift per driver load sheets.Moves cylinders by hand with aid of material equipment and sorts by type and size.Scrapes exterior of cylinders by hand with scraping knife to remove labels and may operate bead blaster to remove paint from cylinders.Soaks cylinders in cleaning solution, rinses, and places on drying rack.Applies new coat of paint to exterior of cylinders when needed.Fills out and attaches new labels, warnings and other identification tags or decals to cylinders.Examines exterior of cylinders for surface defects such as dents, cracks, or burns, and deciphers whether or not to quarantine the cylinder for further inspection.Changes cylinder valves with wrench, or adjusts them with torque wrench to prescribed tension.Are you a MATCH?QUALIFICATIONSMust have the ability to become Forklift Certified.We care about and support our Airgas Families.
