This job was posted by : For more information, please see: JOB DESCRIPTIONResponsibilities:Operate all manufacturing equipment efficiently and safelySafely operate the machine to properly produce product and follow proper procedures for packaging to external customersRemove or shift materials and/or finished products to facilitate proper flowDemonstrates ability to meet production standards on specific assignments within required timeMaintains good housekeeping and clean work areas in assigned spaceResponsible for safety and quality throughout productionClean equipment and area before, during, and after shiftMaintain clean work area through good housekeeping practicesFollow proper sorting and restacking instructions given by the quality departmentAssist in changeovers when called up by supervisor or front-end operatorsPerforms other duties as required by Supervisor or ManagerRequirements:High School diploma or equivalentExperience working in a Manufacturing EnvironmentAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentUnderstand plant safety guidelines and pass all required safety trainingMust be able to understand verbal and written instructionsTroubleshoot problems and report issuesMust work well in a team environmentPhysical Requirements:Plant facility runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week consistently, excluding designated holidays or prearranged shut down.Line production is constant flow approximately 35 to 39 drums an hour.Ability to be on feet consistently 8 hours up to a 12 hours per scheduled shiftWalking during this standing time in work cell, continuous rotation between mold machine, tester machine, cutter machine and grinder machine.Repetitive turning & twisting during the leak testing steps of production.Reaching above shoulders, hand and wrist repetitive simple grasping to pick up drum, flip drum to put it on the cutter machine, and drum lid assembly.Usage of lid assembly closure bar and cutting knife to complete drum manufacturing process.Shifts can be scheduled 5 days consecutive Monday to Friday or alternating 2-week rotation any of the production working days.Use of hands and fingers to perform job functionAbility to stoop, kneel, bend and climb, minimal, only as needed.Ability to lift as needed up to 35lbs during scheduled shiftAbility to lift consistently up to 20lbs for full shift to move drum through and complete manufacturing process.The work environment is inside, however not temperature controlled.
