Job DescriptionReports directly to the department Supervisor and is responsible for operating all machines to maintain established quality standards and production schedules in the manufacture of braided hose.This is a 1st Shift position.
Job Responsibilities - Maintain a safe work environment and use proper safety devices as provided. Abide by and actively promote all facility safety guidelines and quality procedures.
- Ensure all material available for next run per the production schedule prior to starting set-up of machine.
- Load material onto machine per spec sheets and standard operating instructions.
- Run machines per spec sheet and operating instructions, completing required quality checks, operating and quality paperwork, travelers, etc as required.
- Aid in development and continuous improvement of Standardized Work documentation on an on-going basis.
- Maintain a channel of communication between management and departmental personnel on shift cross-over.
- Monitor productivity to ensure that established quality and production levels are maintained to support the plant mission statement.
- Maintain 5-S Standards in work area.
- Actively participate in plant improvement projects and teams.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
