Production Operator- 1st Shift - Ametek : Job Details

The Production Operator role is responsible to run numerical control machines which has been previously set up that automatically performs manufacturing processes. The role also examines product for defects and completeness, using microscope and measurement equipment. The production Operator's duties and responsibilities Include: Read blueprints, work instructions, and drawings to determine visual inspection criteria, workpiece measurements, and material requirements. Read and verify document kit and enter information on appropriate paperwork to track progress. Set up microscope over measuring instrument which may include minor setup of spools, laser or other machines. Position, adjust, and secure workpiece in a mandrel, fixture, or automatic feeding mechanism. Activate machine to automatically perform manufacturing processes. Monitor machine operation and control panel displays to detect workpiece defects or machine malfunction. Select parts randomly according to control charts.
