Payout is structured as follows: $250 after 30 days of employment, the remaining $750 after 6 months of employment. Apply now! Starting hourly rate is $18 per hour (dependent on experience) with a shift differential of $0.75/hour for 2nd shift, & $1.50/hour for 3rd shift.2nd Shift (3:00PM - 11:30PM) and 3rd Shift (11:00PM - 7:30AM) openings These are direct hire roles, eligible for our fantastic benefits package (see below) the first of the month following your start date. Eligible candidates must have reliable transportation. The facilities are not on a bus route. WHAT WE NEED The Production Operator I (POI) role is the first level of training and development in our production function. A successful individual will have basic mechanical aptitude, desire to learn how to operate food packaging equipment, ability to follow clearly written instructions, and willingness to grow and develop in the manufacturing field. Strong communication skills and team player attitude is a must. WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Operate food packaging equipment and ensure that each component of the assigned line is functioning correctly.
  • Monitor the production process, make periodic checks, and adjusts equipment or work practices to maximize production efficiency, yields, quality, and safety; using appropriate foundational elements (Centerlines, CIL's, Start-up/Shutdown Checklists, troubleshooting guides) while learning and growing within assigned production lines.
  • Ensure Quality Standards are met (Weights, codes, packaging, placards, fill cards, filter checks, magnet checks, metal detecto checks).
  • Troubleshoot basic mechanical features, perform basic mechanical tasks such as slitter/chopper blade replacements, registration repair, greasing/lubricating equipment, line changeovers, Timing functions.
  • Ensures that line conditions are acceptable to change from one product to another by evaluating that materials, paperwork, and equipment have been staged for changeover and notify Maintenance if repairs are needed.
  • Communication: Across shifts in hand-overs, shift huddles, problems with Maintenances and leadership, share continuous improvement ideas.
  • Meet and follow all safety, quality, and GMP standards.
  • Correct usage of production systems such as Tulip and RedZone with correct coding and self-audit.
  • Helps drive 5S standards.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Required Education/Experience:
  • Minimum of 6 months previous work experience or equivalent education.
  • Signed off on 0 to 3 production lines.
  • Successful completion of work instruction and SOP assessments as introduced by the company.
  • Must obtain a satisfactory score on the mechanical aptitude assessment provided by the company.
  • Must obtain a satisfactory score on the critical thinking skills assessment provided by the company.
Preferred Education/Experience:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Forklift Licensepreferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Must pass a mechanical aptitude assessment provided by Baldwin Richardson Foods.

  • Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have the ability to learn a computer system and enter information in English into a computer system (RedZone and/or Tulip).
  • Due to SQF regulations, all employees must be able to fluently read, write, and converse in the English language.
At BRF, base pay is one part of our total compensation package, and is determined within a range. The base pay range for this role is $18.00 per hour with a shift differential of $0.75/hour for 2nd shift, & $1.50/hour for 3rd shift.
