Production Operator - Aerotek : Job Details

Job Title: Production OperatorJob DescriptionThis is a direct placement opportunity! The Production Operator will work Wednesday-Sunday, 7am - 3:30pm, with potential for additional hours as needed. In this role, you will handle raw sweetener products arriving by rail cart. The facility is located near a railroad crossing, and responsibilities include loading and unloading rail carts of finished and raw goods using pallet jacks, forklifts, and manual labor for items up to 50 lbs. Heavier items will require team lifts or machinery. You will load materials onto conveyors both indoors and outdoors. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will also be responsible for washing and sanitizing trailers with hot water, and other assigned duties.Job Duties:Load finished products onto liquid and dry trailersUnload raw materials from liquid and dry railcars and trailersOperate forklifts, tractors, trailers, and/or moving railcars using a hand jack or forkliftPrepare work orders for major maintenance or repairs to equipmentRecognize emergency situations and implement appropriate responsesClean and maintain assigned work areasTurn off equipment when not in useReport any vehicle or equipment defects, accidents, injuries, and damage immediatelyComplete all required accident or incident reports immediatelyAssist in cleaning and repairing tasksUse of all types of hand tools (e.g., railcar bars, railcar vibrator, pneumatic railcar gate opener, shovels, wrenches)Operate power/air tools and equipment (e.g., rail car bar, forklift)Manufacture sucrose, invert & other specific products for customersWork EnvironmentThe work environment is in a manufacturing setting, with tasks performed both indoors and outdoors, exposing you to the elements.About Aerotek:We know that finding work is hard, and finding meaningful work is harder.
