Role Overview:
The Production Operator will be responsible for operating equipment to manufacture products from raw materials to finished goods. This role involves maintaining inventory records, conducting in-process tests to ensure quality, and troubleshooting equipment issues to maintain optimum production.
Core Responsibilities:
- Operate equipment to produce finished goods from raw materials.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and data sheets for materials in process.
- Conduct in-process tests such as hardness, weight, pH, and moisture content to ensure production meets specifications.
- Recognize and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions or product deficiencies.
- Follow blueprints, subassembly layouts, and schematics.
- Requisition materials based on production needs and monitor delivery dates.
- Coordinate activities with materials planning, production, and maintenance personnel to ensure smooth operations.
Skill Level & Competencies:
- Must have at least 3+ year of relevant work experience or vocational training.
- Ability to apply job skills and follow company policies and procedures.
- May need to deviate from standard procedures based on circumstances.
- Duties are varied and semi-routine, requiring a blend of skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.
- Strong attention to detail, communication, and teamwork skills.
