End Date: June 2025 Schedule: M-Th 7-4:30 and F 7-12 with OT potential Location: Blacksburg, VA Job Code: JPC-10646Tekberry is looking for a highly qualified and motivated Production Operator to work OnSite with our client, the global leader inmotion control across land, sea, air, and space. This individual will be responsible for inspecting parts and ensuring workmanship is meeting stringent standards. This role requires a strong attention to detail, an ability to operate within a defined process to exacting standards (not cut corners) to ensure production parts are within specification, and the inspection area is clean and orderly. This role also involves documenting and verifying that work has been completed according to blueprints, engineering drawings, and other instructions. As a W2 employee you will have access to health benefits. Job Requirements: 1. Verify previous operation and own work completed per engineering drawings, planning and other work instructions (Operational Method Sheet, Visual Work Instructions, Manufacturing Instructions, PS Workmanship Standards) 2. Complete basic operations using all required manufacturing documentation. 3. Correctly store, clean and maintain tools, equipment and chemicals; verify calibration dates and seals. 4. Complete paperwork required for each part accurately & legibly. 5. Perform minor rework per Std. Rework Procedures., QHT Instructions, or rework router. 6. Proficient using Winterm/Connect to access documents and check revisions. 7. Assist in training / cross-training of others. 8. Proficient using QHT Workflow 9. Participate in Continuous Improvement Process. 10. Work with minimal supervision. 11. Perform other duties as assigned.Qaulifications
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training in mechanical maintenance, industrial technology, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a production environment, preferably prior inspection experience.
  • Technical Expertise: Abiltity to read and understand blueprints and related drawings and schematics.
  • Tool Proficiency: Experience with hand tools and diagnostic equipment, including the use of microscopes.
  • Attention to Detail: High attention to detail is critical in this position. Ability to maintain focus and operate within stringent standards.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with team members.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Automatrix Machines: Prior experience with Automatrix machines or similar automated production equipment is highly preferred.
  • Certifications: Any relevant certifications in machinery maintenance, industrial mechanics, or manufacturing operations are a plus.
Knowledge of Electrical Systems: Basic understanding of electrical systems and PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) is a plus but not required Working Conditions:
  • Fast-paced, high-pressure manufacturing environment.
  • Potential for standing, bending, lifting, and moving heavy parts throughout the day.
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required at all times when working on or around machinery.
  • Occasional overtime may be required depending on production schedules or emergency maintenance needs.
