Job DescriptionWe have an exciting opportunity for you to a make a difference! Join our Team and have the opportunity to grow with us!We are looking for an Production Operator to work in our Richfield, WI manufacturing facility that produces plastic components for the Healthcare Industry! The Production Operator is responsible for overseeing and operating machinery on the production line, ensuring the smooth running of manufacturing processes by setting up equipment, feeding raw materials, monitoring production, performing quality checks, and addressing any malfunctions to meet production requirements as identified in the Operator Checklist. The Production Operator is expected to be in their assigned cell and ready to work at the start of their shift, during and until the end of the shift and reports to the Cell Lead for coordination of daily tasks within the cell and to the Shift Supervisor for overall shift performance. Key Responsibilities:Inspection of product and recognizes defects to ensure product meets customer specifications. Performs quality control, follow accurate recordkeeping and quality documentation procedures.Competently verifies the accuracy of box labels and box quantities to match the work order assigned.Effectively runs single operator jobs and multiple automatic presses, as assigned.Loads hoppers with springs or other plastic components.Requests inventory from the warehouse and/or pulls product from molding presses to feed the hoppers in the Automation area.Uses RF Scanners to move product from the Automation area accordingly to maintain accurate inventory. Alerts appropriate personnel when inventory is low.Removes full pallets from the production machine using a walk behind stacker and move to pack out area.Visually inspects incoming product prior to going into hoppers to meet quality standards and customer expectations following the Visual Inspection Criteria (VIC).Answers alarms in the automation area and escalates to appropriate personnel.Interprets information from the HMI from a stoppage event and determines the best course based on the complexity of the stoppage. Alerts appropriate personnel if stoppage event is more complex.Safely removes blockage of springs or plastic components in the work area per the work procedure.Participates in performing challenge tool tests to verify the automated inspection is working and completes appropriate documentation.May provide sample product to quality inspection for verification and/or audits.Meets production quota and efficiency requirements.Assists in other areas on the production floor as needed.Has the flexibility to be efficiently assigned to any press based on production needs.Proficiently keeps up with parts coming off the press(es) ensuring catch bins do not overflow and parts do not fall on the floor.Accurately completes all paperwork following GDP Guidelines.Successfully follows all cleanroom requirements and gowning protocols.Communicates timely with the opposite shifts regarding press status noting any quality and/or process concerns during the shift transition.Professionally and promptly communicates issues as they arise to the designated employee, Cell Lead, and/or Shift Supervisor.Stays at the assigned area from the start of the shift to the end of shift. Effectively works with other Operator(s) to cover assigned work area while on break.
