Job Title: Production Operator 19/hr
Job Description
As a Production Operator, you will be responsible for operating and monitoring various machinery and equipment on the production line to ensure proper functioning. You will work 1st shift from 6 AM to 4 PM, Monday to Thursday , and will move to 2nd shift from Noon to 10 PM starting in February. Your main goal will be to meet production targets while maintaining quality standards and adhering to safety guidelines.
Responsibilities
Operate and monitor various machinery and equipment on the production line to ensure proper functioning, including start-up, shutdown, and regular maintenance.
Inspect and test products at specified intervals to verify compliance with quality standards, making necessary adjustments to maintain product quality.
Meet daily, weekly, and monthly production targets while adhering to set schedules and timelines.
Load raw materials into the production line, monitor material flow, and ensure proper storage and organization of finished products.
Adhere to all safety guidelines, policies, and procedures, and promptly report any safety concerns or incidents.
Identify and address equipment malfunctions or breakdowns, performing basic maintenance and liaising with maintenance personnel as needed.
Ensure the accurate and timely recording of production data as per the standard production and quality assurance procedures.
Keep the production area clean and organized, including regular equipment cleaning, and ensuring waste disposal in accordance with environmental regulations.
Collaborate with coworkers, supervisors, and quality control teams to optimize production processes and resolve any issues that may arise.
Participate in process improvement initiatives and suggest changes to enhance production efficiency.
Essential Skills
Prior experience of driving a forklift truck is required, valid qualification is a plus.
Prior experience in a manufacturing or production environment is a plus.
Basic mechanical aptitude and the ability to operate machinery safely.
Strong attention to detail and quality.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, often physically demanding environment.
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
