Job Description
  • Prepare product for painting, which includes but is not limited to:
    • sanding
    • taping
    • washing down
  • Clean reservoirs prior to and post hydraulic testing
  • Mix coatings per manufacturing instructions as necessary
  • Apply coatings to specific tolerances and customers specifications
  • Self inspect work prior to finish painter
  • Report Volatile Organic Compound (VOC)
  • Keep painting equipment in running operation
  • Assemble manifold and power unit orders
  • Maintain a clean work area
  • Follow 5S cleaning schedule
  • Perform other essential and related peripheral duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • High school graduate or equivalent; vocational-technical training is preferred
  • Previous paint gun experience required
  • Some industrial/commercial/autobody painting experience preferred
  • Familiarity with re-coat times, mill thickness, thickness equipment, pressure pot application
  • Ability to use different types of hand tools
  • Must be capable of wearing a respirator
  • Willingness to learn; detail and quality oriented
  • Capable of lifting up to 30 lbs
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
