Compensation The compensation target range for this role is: $59,500 - $70,000 Job Summary The Production Planner is responsible for creating, scheduling, and publishing production plans to satisfy customer demand. The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday from 8:00am-5:00pm. Job Description Production Planning:
- Act as the coordinator and expediter between production, procurement, operations, fulfillment, this role takes into consideration customer expectations, S&OP forecasts, production capacity
- Publish and maintain daily, monthly, quarterly reports that display progress and KPI's against the production schedule plans.
- Work directly with production line managers to create and release work orders and maintain ERP system data integrity.
- Work directly with production line managers to analyze and identify risks associated with the production schedule and make appropriate adjustments that will maximize output and utilization of available resources.
- Attend production and operations planning meetings to align with management and report on day-to-day results.
- Proactively identify and communicate potential issues that prevent execution of the production plan and work with management to overcome obstacles, improve processes and drive continuous improvement efforts related to production scheduling.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: - Ability to handle multiple projects effectively in a fast paced cross-functional team environment.
- Hands On experience with daily scheduling and production planning of production lines.
- Advanced communication and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical skills especially in dealing with complex issues and data.
- Advanced proficiency with MS Excel and ERP systems (Netsuite a plus).
- Understanding of production scheduling methodologies.
- Strong negotiation skills, and the ability to work closely with functional areas to execute plans.
- Well-developed organizational, problem solving, and reporting skills.
Education, Experience: - College degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Manufacturing planning or purchasing experience a plus
- APICS - CPIM certification a plus.
