Position: Production Planner

Location: Mebane, NC

Pay: $35 to $40/hour (depending on experience)

Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience as technical planner, scheduler or supervisor (preferably in a food production facility).
  • Experience with SAP, project management, and inventory management.

Education:

  • Associate's degree required.
  • Level 4 certificate required.

Type: Full-time; Direct Hire

Schedule: Day shift - 12 hour shifts

Greene Resources is seeking a Production Planner to join a growing and dynamic team!

Job Description:

  • Plan and schedule preventive and corrective maintenance activities in alignment with production schedules.
  • Prepare necessary resources (parts, machines, personnel, permits) for efficient execution of work orders.
  • Develop detailed work instructions and ensure technicians follow company standards.
  • Collaborate with the planning team for accurate scheduling of shutdowns and key maintenance activities.
  • Optimize maintenance programs by managing spare parts inventory and minimizing machine failures.
  • Review completed maintenance tasks, providing feedback and training to technicians.
  • Implement, update, and adjust preventive maintenance plans based on supplier recommendations and corrective maintenance insights.
  • Foster continuous improvement by identifying machine upgrades and process improvements.
  • Manage urgent repairs and spare parts orders, coordinating with internal teams and external vendors.
  • Serve as a subject-matter expert, delivering training and implementing safety and quality upgrades.

Position Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience liaising with suppliers and external vendors.
  • Strong technical knowledge with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Focus on production quality and efficiency.
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own work.
  • Strong communication skills, goal-oriented, empathetic, and a team player.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Willingness to provide technical assistance outside of normal working hours if needed.
  • Availability to be on-call during designated periods each month.
