The QTI Group is partnering with a manufacturer in Windsor, WI, seeking a Production Planner to join their team. This onsite, temp-to-hire position offers a Monday-Friday, 1st shift schedule (6:00 AM-2:30 PM or 7:00 AM-3:30 PM) with pay starting at $24+/hr. based on experience. The Production Planner is responsible for preparing daily and weekly schedules for department production lines while coordinating with the overall master schedule. This role serves as a liaison between production, sales, and purchasing to ensure timely and efficient production. Responsibilities:
- Develop and adjust daily and weekly production schedules based on demand and line optimization.
- Work with purchasing and production teams to minimize downtime caused by scheduling or material issues.
- Gather data to maintain key production metrics.
- Communicate with management regarding late orders or other factors affecting on-time delivery.
- Assist with engineering change orders as they impact inventory and future production.
- Provide customer service updates as needed.
- Serve as a backup for other planners during absences.
- Manage RGA (Return Goods Authorization) processes as assigned.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, production procedures, and inventory management.
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and BAAN systems.
- Excellent attendance record.
- Understanding of company policies, procedures, and safety practices.
- Ability to interact professionally with internal customers and management.
