Job Location : Little Ferry,NJ, USA
SUMMARY: Plans all facets of the material requirements planning (MRP) process and system, starting with procurement phase all the way through shipment to the end customer. This position will identify and eliminate bottlenecks within the process and system and offer alternatives to such if available.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Institute, develop and deploy an effective and efficient planning process and policies utilizing MRP software.
• Coordinates workflow between departments including final inspection, ensuring that deadlines are met for assigned business.
• Create, communicate, evaluate and adjust product delivery schedule starting with the procurement phase and ending at shipment to our customer.
• Using knowledge of the company MRP system, train others on the fundamentals and operation of the system.
• Advice on current and anticipated capacity constraints in order to adapt and reroute jobs as needed.
• Lead and identify continual improvement assignments to eliminate waste both time and material within the planning department with measurable goals and objectives.
• Establish inventory levels according to generally accepted Materials Management practices
• Completes quality system requirements as they pertain to specific job functions.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
