Job Description :

The Production Planning Manager will be responsible for overseeing the planning, scheduling, and coordination of production activities to ensure efficient operations, on-time delivery, and high-quality standards. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with a proven track record of managing high-level production schedules, optimizing resources, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, technical expertise, and hands-on leadership.

This is a full-time, on-site position, located in Brooklyn, New York. It is a multi-faceted role in a highly collaborative environment that will require strong leadership and focused execution in pursuit of operational excellence.

Responsibilities:Production Planning & Scheduling:
  • Develop and manage high-level production schedules based on customer demand, inventory levels, and production capacity.
  • Monitor and adjust high-level production schedules to address changes in demand, equipment downtime, or material shortages.
  • Coordinate with various departments (engineering, procurement, quality control) to ensure timely availability of materials and resources.
  • Ensure Inventory System, ERP, MEX, and other applicable business management software are maintained.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive supply chain strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products.
  • Oversee inventory levels to ensure sufficient raw materials, components, and finished goods are available to meet production targets, reduce excess inventory, and minimize stockouts.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve supply chain efficiency, reduce lead times, and optimize resource utilization.
  • Team Leadership & Development:
  • Manage and mentor a team, providing guidance, training, and professional development opportunities.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and implement action plans for continuous improvement.
  • Build a positive and collaborative work environment, encouraging communication and teamwork within the manufacturing team and with other departments.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Act as a liaison between finance, commercial operations, quality, and manufacturing to ensure smooth operations.
  • Coordinate with the quality assurance team to ensure production standards meet regulatory requirements and customer specifications.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting:
  • Analyze production data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess production efficiency, identify trends, and develop action plans to address any gaps.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on production performance, inventory status, and on-time delivery metrics to senior management.
  • Manage inventory cycle counts and annual financial audits.
  • Compliance & Documentation:
  • Ensure suppliers comply with Cresilon's supplier controls, as applicable.
  • Ensure compliance with FDA regulations, ISO standards, and other relevant industry standards related to production processes and documentation.
  • Maintain accurate production records, including work orders, production logs, and inventory reports.
  • Complete all required trainings and successfully follow Cresilon SOPs in accordance to Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
  • Responsibilities may include other duties as assigned and as required.

    Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
  • Experience:
  • 7+ years in production planning or supply chain management, preferably in the medical device, pharmaceutical, or manufacturing industry.
  • Proficiency in ERP and MRP system administration, experience implementing a new ERP or MRP system preferred.
  • 3+ years in medical device or pharmaceutical industry, in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven track record in managing production scheduling, inventory control, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • 3+ years managing direct reports.
  • Familiarity and the ability to comply with Regulation (21 CFR 820, EU – MDD & MDR) cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practice), ISO 13485 and other country specific regulations.
  • Strong computer skills, with proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word.
  • Ability to speak, listen, and understand verbal and written communication in English.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.
  • Ability to work full time, on site in Brooklyn, NY.
