Your mission

The Production Plant Operator plays a crucial role in guaranteeing the reliable operation of our first commercial plant and to ensure the effective and efficient production of ecoLocked Materials.In this role, you will be an integral part of our production team, working alongside experienced engineers. Your knowledge and experience will be key to ensuring the on-time delivery of high-quality ecoLocked Materials. The ideal candidate will have experience working safely and professionally within a production facility, be comfortable following production processes and procedures while striving for the highest levels of quality and consistency. Furthermore, the candidate should be proficient in operating a range of industrial machinery and can demonstrate an aptitude for operations that ensure all production equipment functions efficiently and reliably. This role requires a commitment to safety, precision, and teamwork.The position includes but is not limited to the following roles and responsibilities:Machinery Operation: Operate industrial machinery and ensure all production equipment functions properly. Ability to follow production and methods processes including safety protocols.Material Handling: Load and unload materials using safe techniques, manage material inventory, and handle/dispose of waste in accordance with regulations.Maintenance: Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, diagnose and resolve equipment issues to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.Compliance and Quality Assurance: Adhere to safety and operational procedures, ensure compliance with all regulations, and maintain product quality standards.Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records, utilize systems for tracking and reporting, and report incidents while suggesting potential improvements.Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the operations team, communicate operational changes effectively, maintain a clean and organized production area, and train new staff on equipment and protocols.

Your profile
  • You are fluent in German and English
  • You have the right to full-time unrestricted work within Germany
  • You live in or close to Berlin/Brandenburg within commutable distance to Bernau or are willing to relocate
  • You hold a completed apprenticeship (Ausbildung) or a professional certificate as an Industrial Mechanic, Machine and Equipment Operator, or Process Technician
  • You have at least 3-5 years of relevant industrial experience covering inventory management, operating machinery (preferably including a forklift), quality-controlling of products and production processes, and troubleshooting issues efficiently under pressure to meet strict delivery targets
  • You are creative and like to think beyond the operational, to turn your innovative work and ideas into new methods and processes to increase competitiveness.
  • You have an unwavering ownership mentality and are proactive, resourceful, and structured in pushing progress in your areas of responsibility
  • You pay high attention to detail, have strong analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills, and deliver work results with high accuracy and quality
  • You are comfortable operating in a dynamic start-up environment with an evolving project scope
