Position: Production & R&D Associate – Hemp-Based Gummies Location: Asterra Labs – Nashville, NC Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 10-hour shifts (Three-day weekends) Compensation: Hourly to start, transitioning to salary after successful completion of the probationary period About the Role: Asterra Labs, a division of Oak Ridge Industries, is seeking a hands-on and detail-oriented Production & R&D Associate to focus on manufacturing hemp-based gummies using our G150 production line. This role is a critical part of our operations, ensuring high-quality products while contributing to process improvements and new product development. Key Responsibilities: Operate and oversee the G150 gummy production line, ensuring efficiency and quality control. Follow standard operating procedures for gummy formulation, cooking, molding, and finishing. Assist in R&D efforts by refining recipes, testing new formulations, and optimizing production techniques. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the production area, adhering to safety and compliance standards. Troubleshoot and resolve minor mechanical and process-related issues to minimize downtime. Accurately document production data, including yields, waste tracking, and equipment performance. What We're Looking For: Prior experience in food manufacturing, production, or a related field is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate. Strong attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. Mechanical aptitude or experience working with production equipment is highly desirable. Interest in the hemp industry and willingness to learn and grow with the company. Why Join Us?
