Responsibilities
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for managing an accurate production schedule in Oracle, including adjusting based on production efficacy, sales priority, material availability, and engineering readiness
Responsible for managing open slots in the schedule with Sales and Production
May coordinate the ordering and delivery for major components (units, bodies, and chassis)
Communicates regularly with Production and Sales expected completion and delivery dates, now orders, open slots, and other information critical to meeting customer expectations
Participates in regular meeting with Production, downstream customers, and the major component supply teams as needed
Smoothing a schedule based upon pre-determined load capacity
Basic understanding of all Altec principles and practices related to production output (i.e. custom-built timeline, BOMs & routings, job costing, sales ordering process, etc.)
Ownership over materials team projects to continuously improve towards team goals
All other duties as assigned by supervisor
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
High School Diploma or equivalent required and
Bachelor's Degree required or
two years (internal) or three years (external) scheduler and/or CPIM/APICS certification
Demonstrated strong time management and prioritization of work required
Demonstrates effective communication skills across multiple teams/departments required
Skilled in Excel & Word required; Microsoft Office Suite intermediate experience preferred (PowerBi, Power Apps, etc.)
