Salary Range: $45,000-$50,000 About the Role: May lead and direct the work of the fabrication and forming shop, and sub assembly area to ensure fabrication work orders are done timely and material is issued properly. Scheduling issues are discussed with the shop manager. Your Responsibilities:
- Coordinates with engineering, purchasing, and manufacturing so that orders will be completed in an efficient and timely manner
- Coordinates with manufacturing personnel on manufacturing operations needed to complete order.
- Reviews each sales order for long lead and short term/stock component needed to meet schedule
- Requirements
- Schedule new sales orders and ensure alignment with key stakeholders
- Reviews planned orders for correct scheduled start date.
- Updates and maintains a scheduling spread sheet using scheduling software.
- Liaison between shop floor, parts room, shop manager and engineering regarding capital equipment.
- Coordinates with engineering for the use of outside support services as needed to meet demands of schedule
- Suggests methods improvements or alternate methods and materials to reduce cost and/or improve quality
- Attend production and other meetings to work closely with other member of the business unit to achieve company and business unit objectives
- Update/Align scheduled work orders for CCO and ECO changes and collaborate with other areas to facilitate the changes
- Maintains an orderly and safe work environment and ensures compliance through support of safety policies
- Other duties as assigned
Let's Talk About Your Qualifications:
- Associate degree
- Understands and applies Lean Manufacturing concepts and MRP reports
- Requires a working knowledge of computer software to include word processing and spreadsheets
- Has a good understanding of Office, Excel, ERP systems, and manufacturing schedules
- Scheduling, Manufacturing or Planning experience.
- 2 years of experience in the field or in a related area
- Floor manufacturing experience a plus
- AS400 knowledge Preferred
- Apics or any Supply Chain/Planning Certification
