PRODUCTION SCHEDULER

SUMMARY
Under administrative direction, supports the planning, and scheduling of raw materials (chemical, packaging, contract manufacturing, Turnkey FG, MRO) utilizing MRP to order and maintain necessary stock levels required for production requirements. Works with Logistics, Planning, Sales and Production functions to coordinate production planning to meet customer demand. Assists in the negotiation of price, freight, and terms with supplies to minimize costs under direct supervision.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Includes the following under direct supervision:
Assists in preparation of instructions and SOPs regarding purchasing systems and procedures.
Analyzes inventory turns and levels for each product line with the Sales Department and determines appropriate stock levels for each warehouse location according to a Just-in-Time approach.
Assists with regularly scheduled cycle counts and physical inventory counts.
Providing effective and timely production schedules to maintain adequate amounts of finished product
Accurate and timely posting of batch tickets
Posts completed production, analyzes formula changes and corrects used quantities as required
Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION, SKILLS and/or EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma required; Bachelors Degree in Materials Management, Business Administration or Logistics preferred.
Five plus years of manufacturing planning or scheduling experience.
Experience with ERP software (SAP, Oracle, Process Pro SAGE etc.)
Project management skills preferred.
Excellent computer skills using Microsoft Office to include Outlook, Teams, & Excel.
Proven ability to work in a dynamic environment.
Ability to multi-task, and remain calm and courteous, responding to internal and external customers in a professional manner.
Strong analytical ability including problem-solving, organizational skills, and detail-orientation.

JOB PERFORMANCE STANDARDS
Communicates with other departments the status of materials and updates the ERP accordingly.
Plans to purchase quantities that should be sold according to the data on turns by the time the vendor invoice is due to be paid, to maximize cash flows.
