They are seeking military experience for the core skills and character qualities instilled. This position ensures that the operations team has all the correct raw materials prior to production runs. Challenges include supply chain delays, vendor management and communication on the reality of the current logistical landscape. Military planning, record keeping and finding a way to get the critical supplies to the operations team are key skills / abilities for this role. This position works closely with customer service, production, and purchasing to understand and communicate scheduling plans and issues. Perform all job duties within safety, health, and environmental regulations. - Production scheduling to meet customer demand and finished product stock targets (80%) - Accurate and timely day to day scheduling and prioritization of process orders in response to production plans and demand plans as well as changing business needs- Completion of production schedules that maximize capacity, minimize stocking levels, and improve OEE while minimizing downtime throughout all production resources- Using SAP MRP, continually review proposed output and make decisions on the viability of turning planned order requirements into firm process orders- Ensure all forward demands are being met and take appropriate action to add, move or cancel production to minimize working capital- Identify and action reworking of material to continually minimize blocked and aging stock with input from Quality- Ability to problem-solve scheduling issues to meet established KPIs reliably and accurately- Investigate and respond to customer complaints- Effectively communicate the production schedule and any issues arising from it to production, procurement, customer service, sales, and manager- Facilitate daily production meetings providing key scheduling information to improve the efficiency of the manufacturing process and to optimize capacity- Provide feedback into the maintenance scheduling process to prioritize maintenance efforts and to minimize customer delays due to maintenance downtimeA rewarding manufacturing role with a strong career path.
