Position Summary: You will have broad responsibility to manage and coordinate production schedules, material planning, and finished goods inventory control for various Brook + Whittle sites. Achieve material control objectives, on-time shipment targets and finished goods stocking levels. Your leadership will be key in establishing Brook & Whittle as a leader in production efficiency from proof of concept to delivery of printed labels. You will collaborate with leadership and operations to implement strategies and initiatives to ensure materials and resources are available at the optimum time for efficient production and on-time shipments to our customers. Additionally, a key responsibility of this role will be to drive continuous improvement initiatives across the entire value stream. Essential Functions:
- Daily multi-site creation of production schedules utilizing assigned scheduling system.
- Develop and implement best practices for the production scheduling and production planning.
- Analysis of production scheduling system, defined work paths, tact times/rates crewed capacities and machine capacities to assure proper routing of orders, based on job/estimate specifications for optimal production.
- Compare various production paths utilizing available equipment and defined work paths for best cost containment and highest OTS (On Time Shipping) possible.
- Proactive collaboration with Sales, Account Management, Purchasing and Manufacturing to assure that materials and production processes are in line to support Quality, OTS, and Cost.
- Proactive communication to customer service and leadership on any order delays, critical changes, internal trials, or customer approvals.
- Recommend/Communicate staffing & capacity plans to optimal inventory levels across the supply chain and support the proactive management of those levels to achieve targeted customer satisfaction as well as mitigate inventory exposure.
- Monitor material inventories, tracks progress of production and reviews factors that affect schedules, ensuring that the schedule is aligned with current sales.
- Collaborate with various production groups to ensure plans are executed and capacity or other constraints are identified and resolved.
- Participate in cross functional teams as assigned to help drive continuous improvement.
- Develops action plans with team members as needed for problem resolution.
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years' experience in Supply Chain and Production planning
