About the Company: Bitzer Us Inc. is a leading manufacturer of key components used in commercial and industrial refrigeration and air conditioning systems. These key components include compressors, pressure vessels such as condensers and evaporators, compressor packages, and condensing units. About the Role: Responsible for coordinating the Production Plan for the organization including machining, pre-assembly, and assembly. Interface and collaborate with Customer Service/Sales, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Quality, and Engineering, to effectively communicate customer requirements against capacity planning and scheduling work to ensure on-time delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Schedule ElectraTherm (ET), Value Add (VA) and other assembly, machining, pre-assembly, and accessory department schedules to meet internal & external customer needs.
- Cross-train across Bitzer production planning segments, and provide coverage for counterparts, and maintain accurate work instructions and related training documents for tasks and duties.
- Track Finish Good inventory units/dollars while planning long term Heijunka levels that support customer demands.
- Interface with customer service and sales on lead times, availability, and other pertinent inquiries. Review and communicate long term forecasts.
- Track & Report Planning & Production KPIs.
- Communicate the daily and weekly production scheduling during cross-functional production meeting.
- Forward-thinking scheduling that allows flexibility to change the schedule to meet customer demands.
- Daily execution of job and shopfloor entry and maintenance in ERP, MES, and print out and electronic communications to Manufacturing.
- Assist the Master Production Scheduler in maintaining Planning Master data in ERP including safety stock, re-order points, MOQs, and proper consumption classification.
- Assist the Master Production Scheduler in the process of forecast maintenance.
- Continuous Improvement Projects within Scheduling scope, including new LYNQ MES/APS initiative, and Macola ERP refinements.
- Additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or relative experience or a minimum of 5 years in a low-volume, high-mix manufacturing environment.
Required Skills:
- Advanced knowledge of production scheduling and manufacturing / factory flow processes.
- Advanced knowledge of production planning within ERP Systems.
- Intermediate knowledge of forecasting techniques as applied to a manufacturing environment.
- Intermediate knowledge of lean manufacturing.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel.
- ASCM CPIM Certification preferred.
- Macola and SAP Experience preferred.
Preferred Skills: Ability to effectively meet and lead communication across cross-functional teams, including customers and vendors. Daily contact requires courtesy, discretion, and sound judgment. Solid PC skills using Microsoft Office software, as well as a working knowledge of general office equipment (photocopier, fax machine, phones). Good written communication skills and effective organizational skills. Ability to work collectively with others within the organization.
Pay range and compensation package: Full time, Salary Exempt.
