Job Description:As the Production Sound Mixer Partner, you will be responsible for capturing and mixing high-quality audio during the production of various television projects, including documentaries and reality shows. Your expertise will ensure that our sound design elevates the storytelling experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with directors and producers to understand the audio requirements and vision for each project.
  • Set up, operate, and maintain audio equipment, including microphones, mixers, and recording devices.
  • Capture clean and clear audio on set, ensuring high-quality sound recording during filming.
  • Work with the production team to implement effective sound strategies for various environments and situations.
  • Monitor audio levels and make adjustments in real-time to prevent distortion or loss of quality.
  • Conduct post-production mixing and editing of audio tracks to achieve the desired sound quality and effects.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices in audio production.
  • Skills Required:

  • Strong knowledge of audio recording techniques and equipment.
  • Proficiency in operating sound mixing and recording equipment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Attention to detail and a strong ear for sound quality.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances on set.
  • Familiarity with audio editing software (e.g., Pro Tools, Adobe Audition) for post-production work.
  • Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Sound Engineering, Audio Production, Film Production, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a sound mixer or audio engineer in television or film production, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of sound design, mixing techniques, and audio post-production processes.
  • Previous experience in a collaborative production environment is a plus.
  • Compensation:This position offers a unique revenue-sharing compensation structure, where the Production Sound Mixer Partner will receive a revenue share of 3-5% for all projects worked on. Revenue will be based on new subscription sales generated from the distributed project, with payouts made on a monthly basis, 60 days after each project release.
