About the Job:Production SpecialistWe are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Production Specialist to join our tooling development team. This role is pivotal in applying statistical process control predominantly within the extrusion department, and subsequently, across other departments as necessary. The specialist will be tasked with enhancing production efficiency and product quality by employing their technical expertise in troubleshooting, conducting process optimizations, and leading continuous improvement initiatives. If you have a passion for problem-solving and a knack for optimizing processes in a production setting, this position will suit you well.Compensation: DOEEssential Duties and Responsibilities:Investigate production and quality issues, collaborating with production supervisors and machine operators to refine processes.Address and resolve technical and processing dilemmas; propose adjustments to PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers).Manage production trials involving new compounds and new materials, oversee the evaluation process, and disseminate the outcomes to the team.Perform capabilities studies to assess and ensure sustained production quality and efficiency.Execute material testing to maintain high-quality standards and compliance with industry regulations.Lead and coordinate continuous improvement projects aiming at operational excellence.Minimum Position Qualifications:Degree in Engineering, Technical field, or an equivalent educational background.Solid knowledge of plastics processing and familiarity with industry practices.High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.Strong verbal and written communication abilities.Self-motivated and hands-on approach towards problem-solving.Preferred Qualifications:Prior experience in a production environment focused on extrusion or similar processes.Advanced degree or specialized training/certification relevant to manufacturing or production engineering.Proven track record of leading successful improvement projects in a manufacturing setting.Experience programming and configuring PLC's in a production context.Experience in conducting and analyzing capabilities studies.Skills:Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.Efficient project management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to work effectively in a team setting.Technical skills related to production machinery and process optimization.Ability to communicate complex information clearly and persuasively.#J-18808-Ljbffr
