Job Description :

The Production Superintendent at National Cement collaborates with the Kiln Team Superintendent, reports to the Production Manager and is responsible for overseeing daily operations of the cement manufacturing plant to ensure efficient, safe, and cost-effective production. This role includes managing production teams, optimizing processes, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring compliance with environmental and safety regulations. The superintendent will also coordinate with maintenance and other departments to minimize downtime and achieve production targets. Strong leadership, technical expertise, and problem-solving skills are essential for driving operational excellence and continuous improvement within the plant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and supervise the daily activities of the production team, ensuring smooth and efficient plant operations.
  • Implement production schedules, monitor output, and ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Promote a culture of safety by enforcing compliance with all safety protocols and regulations.
  • Coordinate with Maintenance, Electrical, Quarry and Quality Assurance teams to minimize downtime and optimize plant performance.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and training to team members, fostering skill development and teamwork.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports on production metrics, equipment performance, and workforce productivity.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in engineering or process improvement focus
  • Proven experience in cement manufacturing or a similar industrial environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
  • Solid understanding of plant operations, equipment, and production processes.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
