Production Superintendent - GPAC : Job Details

Gpac is currently working with a growing family-owned food manufacturer in Southern Minnesota who is seeking a Production Superintendent! This person will be in their NEW state-of-the-art facility which is expected to have around 300 employees. The company has been in business for over 20 years, and this is their 4th location. This will be a 1st shift position, and candidates NEED to have experience working withinsmoked meats/pork processing and a strong background in food production and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in production supervision
• Need to have experience with high-volume pork processing, smoked meats
• Knowledge of USDA, HACCP, and OSHA regulations.
• Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills
• Working knowledge of the CMMS System
• Mechanical, Electrical, and PLC Programs experience

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and assist Production Supervisors with supervising and training employees while providing an environment for employees to achieve maximum quality and productivity performance.
• Manage production process and employee performance, providing positive and/or corrective feedback.
• Promote safety throughout the assigned work area.
• Review and ensure reporting requirements are fulfilled in a timely manner.
• Supervise, coach and train employees, providing professional development through ongoing feedback concerning strengths and areas in need of improvement.

Targeting $85k – $90k base
