Harvey, Masters, Contact, Belanger, Lansas, and Durgo.Our brands are synonymous with quality, integrity, and trust in the plumbing industry.Position SummaryThe 1st shift Production Supervisor is responsible for coordinating operational activities within the department and supervising department associates for optimal performance while adhering to and promoting quality and safety guidelines.Position ResponsibilitiesManage daily performance activities to ensure daily goals and priorities meet productivity targets while maintaining quality standards and safety guidelines.Supervise safety initiatives to ensure a clean and hazard-free work environment and associate compliance with safety rules and regulations.Monitor hourly performance levels in the department to achieve production standards and resolve problems. Ensure the completion of production records and perform data entry as required.Supervise department associates including daily work assignments, policy compliance, and performance reviews.Respond to daily employee relations issues and contribute to the resolution of associate concerns.Ensure all required quality inspections and document results, ensuring all department associates are knowledgeable in inspecting output per product quality requirements.Apply LEAN management principles throughout the department's daily activities.Effectively communicate business objectives, daily goals, and performance-related information to all levels of the organization.Partner with other supervisors to schedule, plan, and execute daily operational goals and objectives.Partner with maintenance & engineering teams to ensure maintenance activities and equipment are in good working order.Ensure smooth start-up by verifying raw material, components, equipment, and associates are available at workstations.Other duties as assigned.Knowledge and Experience7 to 10 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment.Knowledge of MS Office Applications required; working knowledge of MS SAP preferred.Strong leadership and communication skills, both verbal and written.Solid interpersonal skills including listening, coaching, diplomacy, and conflict resolution.Familiarity with lean manufacturing concepts.Ability to multi-task and meet operational deadlines through effective planning.Effective problem-solving abilities required.Flexible schedule necessary occasionally to accommodate meetings and training sessions.In-depth emotional intelligence, demonstrated trust and integrity, and high ethical standards.A strategic individual with good judgment and strong ethical standards.PreferredPrior experience with SAP.Kaizen Philosophy Experience.Previous experience in packaging or plastics.Education and CertificationBachelor's degree or comparable experience to the level of a bachelor's degree in Supervision and Manufacturing preferred.At Oatey, we are committed to helping our Associates grow their careers.
