Whether you are looking for an assembly position or a career in manufacturing management, you can thrive as a member of our team.PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR JOB SUMMARY: The Production Supervisor position is responsible for leading Team Leaders while maintaining a positive working relationship with all team. Also, this position will support Operations Manager and work knowledge and direction of the support groups-materials, QSG, IT etc. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead and develop Team Leaders.
  • Coach and guide Team Members to be successful, productive and help them to achieve Company's common goals to be a world class facility.
  • Ensure all attendance entries on Timekeeping System are completed to ensure payroll accuracy.
  • Maintain good communication to Operations Manager on all critical matters.
  • Maintain good communication and relationship with other lead managers. Regularly scheduled meetings.
  • Drive accountability to housekeeping guidelines.
  • Monitor Hilo damage - drive accountability for negligence.
  • Sustain company culture, encourage for quality, safety, efficiency and cost improvement suggestions.
  • Understand of Company's processes and follow up on - corrective action files, incident investigation, FIFO, Min/Max etc.; ensure all processes are adhered to.
  • Active leader in problem solving analysis and develop irreversible corrective actions of quality issues.
  • Maintain respect from peers, sequencers, Hilo Drivers, etc. Always promoting a positive morale at all teams.
  • Ensure safety rules are followed and observed; Enforcement of safety (PPE, safety glasses, stack heights, battery change, dock locks).
  • Flexible work schedule to cover vacations or overtime when required.
  • All other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • High School diploma
  • Experience: 2+ years working in automotive industry and/or leading teams
TRAVEL:
  • Travel Required: minimum
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • Ability to use the OSR/HMI to make pertinent decisions relative to meeting the customer expectations and delivery requirements.
  • Ability to establish a positive, proactive relationship with the Union.
  • Ability to identify problem situations and seek additional help prior to an emergency.
  • Ability to receive constructive feedback.
  • Ability to drive accountability with the work force.
  • Familiarity with GM - FTA expectations and resolution of problems with Penske, LLP and FTA.
  • Acts as an independent leader and also transitions to a team player when needed.
  • Ability to work in a rapid paced environment.
  • Ability to effectively interact with and lead people.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks based on Company and customer goals.
  • Exceptional people skills.
  • Strong analytical ability.
  • Effectively communicate both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to resolve problems using Company's values.
  • Excellent attendance record (punctuality).
  • Sense of urgency when dealing with liaisons, hot shots, etc.
